The origin of Sage Fruit Company is in immigrant families who came to this fertile valley to farm. They found the climate ideally suited to growing tree fruits. These families all took their operations to the next level at different times during the 1900’s and built packing facilities to complement their orchard businesses.

Three family businesses from Central Washington own Sage Fruit Company. They are Valley Fruit in Wapato, Olympic Fruit in Moxee, and Larson Fruit in Selah. Together, the owners of these companies farm several thousand acres of orchard ground and serve additional high-quality growers who entrust their fruit to Sage.

While Sage is made up of families who came to Yakima long ago to farm, Sage Fruit Company itself began operations in 1999 when these family grower-shippers found it would be beneficial to join forces in order to provide consistent year-round supplies to their customers. Today, Sage Fruit Company ships fruit across the globe to Asia, Europe, South America, Mexico, and Canada in addition to retailers across the U.S. We are proud to deliver some of the world’s most healthy foods from one of the world’s most fertile growing regions.

In addition to our own fruit, Sage imports product from New Zealand and the fertile growing regions of Chile during the summer months in order to supply the freshest product year round.
