FruitApple and pear harvest is approaching in the Pacific Northwest. The latest state estimate indicates the apple crop will be 110 million boxes. The pear crop is estimated to be 17 million boxes. We still have a couple weeks to go before we start harvesting early varieties and we will continue to keep our partners updated. The most significant difference we are seeing this year compared to last year is fruit sizing. Fruit appears to be 1-2 sizes smaller than last year. We had a very cool, wet spring which will impact sizing. As the season approaches Sage Fruit is your one stop shop for all your apple and pear needs. We will harvest our apples from all districts in the Yakima Valley and our pears will come from Hood River and the Yakima Valley. Sales driving tools are available such as promotional materials, tote bags, Sage Fruit apple and pear bins, social media, Kasey Kahne promotions, and we have a few new programs that will be launched this season. Please contact your marketing representative for more information.
