Developed in Western Australia, the Pink Lady is a cross of Golden Delicious and Lady Williams. Crisp, cool autumn nights help bring out its bright, namesake coloring. Firm, crisp flesh and a unique, tangy-tart, sweet flavor are characteristic of this apple. Whether eaten as a snack, or used for baking, this variety has received high marks in consumer tastings. Pink Lady is the last apple harvested in Washington State in late October.
